Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Born in Athens, Greece. Lived and studied for seven years in Sofia, Bulgaria. I have a PhD in Law and up until this date I’ve written over 15 books with another couple coming out this year.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
It’s called Jester. The story came to me while reading one of Aesop’s Fables, the one with the frogs that demanded a king. I had used a character in a previous book but only in passing and only to deliver some one-liners to the protagonist mainly keeping him out of the plot. Having his character ‘free’ sort to speak I decided to create a hero that makes his meager living reciting old tales across the land while making people laugh albeit unintentionally.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I usually write from 3am to 6am with a cup of coffee firmly in hand and my favorite background -writing- music playing.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I’m a fan of Joe Abercrombie’s work. Also Neal Asher and Mark Lawrence.
What are you working on now?
I’m working on Jester, a historical fantasy novel.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Amazon and Goodreads services are those I’ve used more. But also FB and Twitter, I’m still learning.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Keep on trying. Don’t be afraid to erase or even throw away something or everything to do it allover again.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Nice question. I don’t remember to be honest, perhaps ‘be yourself’ or something along these lines. As far as writing is concerned, I tend not to listen so much and try to curve my own road.
What are you reading now?
A collection of short stories, Sharp Ends by Abercrombie
What is your favorite book of all time?
Several actually and it constantly changes. If I had to pick one, I’d say currently Bag of Bones by Stephen King
